Out of Sight

Out of Sight investigates the spatial qualities of underground parking architecture through the relationship between structure and visibility. The project begins with an abstract object that isolates the structural column as a fundamental yet visually understated supporting element. This is expressed through the contrast between solid concrete mass, transparent plexiglass, and the strategic use of light.

Building on this research, the project develops into a viewing box that functions as an autonomous architectural intervention. The structure reveals the parking garage as a sequence of fragmented spatial experiences, shaped by controlled sightlines and carefully guided lighting conditions.

Together, the works explore how underground architecture is often defined not by what is immediately visible, but by the hidden systems and structural elements that organise and support the space.
